Production notes:
For this episode, I made something a bit different: I added a song made by an AI. The first song of today is from a YouTube-channel called "It's definitely not stonkers". It was a remix of the old game "Bobble bobble" and was created on an AI. Later I saw that it had surpassed my YouTube channel when it came to number of viewers. Who said life is fair?

I asked viewers and people what they thought of it and it the general response was enormously negative.

Best comment about AI writing songs:
"@DJDaemon The Bubbly podcast episode has an AI song included. While it's good for inspiration, they all suffer from what Baron of Dubstep calls Math Rock - a synopsis where the "algorithms" just put as much variety and mix everything into a soup that has no sense or rhythm nor has it repeating patterns or recognizable chorus segments. The song may mimic the original, but the "overlay added layer of let's see how much craporama techniques can be packed over the course of the song" is extremely discerning. And I agree, that Bubble Bobble "remix" is exactly an example of this."

[ demoparty.net ] PTWeekender 2025: DJ set winner

So via a voting poll to the punters, a winner was revealed by the end of the stream The winning DJ set was Cyke! so congrats to Cyke. That means team A won.

Everyone else was pretty much tied at 2nd and 3rd places and is not really good enough source material for an indepth chart like they do on Demozoo.

Apologies about any confusion of this being a .mod entry compo. It wasn’t.

[ OpenMPT - Open ModPlug Tracker ] OpenMPT 1.32.05.00 released

This small update to OpenMPT 1.32 is mostly a bugfix release.

Here's a list of the most notable changes in this version:

• Added option to slice a sample at grid points instead of cue points, including a new keyboard shortcut.
• Since OpenMPT 1.31.14.00, fine adjustment of sustain loop start / end was broken.
• Automatically hiding the volume column didn't work for newly-created MODs.
• Since OpenMPT 1.31, having both "Contiunous scroll" and "Cursor wrap in pattern editor" disabled, jumping by beat or measure no longer jumped to the first or last row of the pattern and instead stayed on the current row if it was close to the start / end than a beat / measure.
• Transposing a selection didn't refresh the (potentially changed) default volume display if the selection of the last channel didn't contain the volume column.

[ demoparty.net ] Deadline 2025: Music Lineup and Timetable finalized, Party system live, 256b and Animation/Video compos moved to Friday

We again have compiled a great musical line-up for you to dance to and/or vibe with: Check it out here, as well as the full timetable here (subject to changes).

In addition we’re happy to announce that the party-system is live! We know that we said that there is no key for remoter, but if you bring a release we’ll make an exception. ;) Just shoot us a mail and you’ll get a key to upload your entry. We look forward to your releases! Read-up the compo rules here again, and remember that we moved the 256b and Animation/Video compos to Friday, which also means that the respective Deadlines will be on Friday already.

[ OpenMPT - Open ModPlug Tracker ] OpenMPT 1.32.04.00 released

This small update to OpenMPT 1.32 is mostly a bugfix release.

Here's a list of the most notable changes in this version:

• Fixed several issues around PC events in the Find & Replace dialog.
• Added keyboard shortcuts for toggling sample loop types.
• Sample slicing did not adjust the sustain loop points in the sliced samples, and did not reset the "Keep sample on disk" setting.
• Fixed filter handling of IT effect S7B (disable pitch / filter envelope) when it is applied at the same time as a note is played.
• It was possible that OpenMPT could crash when stopping playback of a module when using bridged plugins in combination with certain ASIO drivers.
• Quick Start Dialog: Collapsed status of item groups is now memorized.
• In export dialogs, the currently active subsong is now chosen for export by default.
• Wine integration now supports RtAudio 6 and works around a bug in Wine 10.13.
